If you're handy with a soldering iron, try wiring an electric guitar straight from the pickups to the output jack, bypassing the tone and volume pots. You'll be impressed by how much more extended your response is, and how much hotter your output is.
Thanks for the info! I routed my Bill Lawrence L500s directly to the Jack from the switch and it sounds like a new guitar. It was like someone took a blanket off the amp!
